NOVEMBER SESSION: Big Emotions & Big Behaviors

Parenting is not for the faint of heart. To parent children through big emotions and big behaviors requires immense courage. This workshop has a group for parents/caregivers and a group for children that will meet at the same time. Parents/caregivers will be equipped with practical strategies to effectively de-escalate challenging situations for their child and gain tools for healthy communication. At the same time, children will learn how to identify their feelings, regulate their emotions, and make healthier choices.

Parent/Caregiver’s Group will:

· Acquire Effective Communication Techniques
· Gain Practical De-escalation Strategies

Children’s Group will:
· Identify their Emotions
· Communicate their Needs Effectively
· Learn Several Coping Skills for Regulation
